Size of the beret is based on the outer diameter (diameter of the opening is smaller).

1) Outer diameter of beret 1.5″ or 4 cm. Diameter of opening is approximately 1″ or 2.5 cm.
2) Outer diameter of beret 2.25″ or 5.5 cm. Diameter of opening is approximately 1.5″ or 4 cm.
3) Outer diameter of beret 3″ or 7.5 cm. Diameter of opening is approximately 2″ or 5 cm.
4) Outer diameter of beret 4″ or 10 cm. Diameter of opening is approximately 3″ or 7.5 cm.
5) Outer diameter of beret 4.5″ or 11.5 cm. Diameter of opening is approximately 3.25″ or 8.25 cm.
6) Outer diameter of beret 5.0″ or 12.5 cm. Diameter of opening is approximately 3.5″ or 9.0 cm.
7) Outer diameter of beret 5.5″ or 14 cm. Diameter of opening is approximately 3.75″ or 9.5 cm.

The elastic string is 1 mm diameter.
